Demolition of Pudu Jail

>> Wednesday, June 30, 2010

When the clock stroked at 10pm on 21st June 2010, the 394-meter stretch of Pudu Jail is demolished after having served its purposes for the past 100 years. The prison itself stopped operating since 1996 and prisoners were shifted to Sungai Buloh prison.

I felt disappointed with the demolition of Pudu Jail. It's a waste. This building is one of the historical sites in Malaysia! So what if this building has housed criminals? Historical building should kept and preserved as tourist attractions! Yes, I know some of the people said Pudu Jail should be torn down to make way for development, it's haunted blablabla. To some extend, I do agree with it. But can't we keep one of the wall as a memory? However is it, Pudu Jail was demolished. Never mind, I visited Pudu Jail when I was young. So, i got no regret.

I went for a visit to Pudu Jail that day, the day when the jail gonna be demolished. That day, lots of people came. You can see those crews from TV stations, paparazzi were taking photos. The paparazzi even asked us to pose in front of their camera. ha! Posing can be difficult sometimes. Anyone see us in the TV? =p

That night.. Full of people.

Bye Pudu Jail.

那一夜

那一夜。。

I got the FiFa Fever!

>> Saturday, June 26, 2010

I don't know since when I started to have interest in watching football. I always complain when he went mamak to watch the match at late night. But now, haha! I joined the guys instead of complaining. It's the first time I watch and I am just 'fall in love'  with Messi. So, don't ask me which team I support. Definitely gonna be Argentina!

Of course, sometimes I do feel boring when watching it. Especially the match of Brasil vs Portugal. Almost made me go asleep. Not only me, Jason and Anson felt the same too. No goal at all. Boring. One thing I like about watching the match in Mamak is when everyone starts screaming when the ball is approaching towards the goal. But sometimes get embarrassed when it doesn't goal. Just so funny.

Most of the match we watched in the eng ann mamak. But the screen.. too small la. Part of the screen is not shown but reflected on the building behind. So when the player was at the side, we can't see. Sometimes we can't even see where's the ball. Thats why we always asked, "eh, where's the ball!?", "shit, who's the player passing the ball?!". When the player kicked the ball out of the goal, the guys especially Prashad will says, "the grandmother there la, thats why!". They love make jokes out of it.

Spain lose to Swiss. The day after the match, we went Al-Ikhsan and we are looking for Spain's jersey. But no stock. The promoter told us that because Spain lose to Swiss, so they did not restock. LOL. How reality our world is. Then, on the day of France's match, they are having 50% discount for France's T-shirt. Only for France! I know France is gonna lose.. but.. sad weii. The promoters kept pursue us to buy and in the end, Chin bought it. The promoters even ask us to wear the shirt as pajamas. And they laugh happily ever after because Chin bought it. They said, it was the first France's shirt they sold. = =

And yea, Anyon shared with me some funny pictures of Messi. I have been thinking whether should I share it here? It was quite... errr. =x But sharing is caring, so.. you will know what I mean when you scroll down.

Messi is cute, isn't? =X

Random note: I like the Waka-Waka song! It's my current ringtone now. =)

But, the one Nicole ordered, still okay la! ;p

I ate the olive. It taste.... *yucks*

After movie, we went mcD and meet the others.
And I got my Spicy Chicken McDeluxe!
But it was my supper. Fats.
As usual, we chit chatted and crapped.
Laugh Laugh Laugh. And spent our time there for 3 hours 30 mins.

GOTCHA! Sampat Nicole!

Back to home at 1.30am. Ha!

Lesson of the day: The way to show your finger in a slow motion. =p

Pulau Sipadan

>> Saturday, June 19, 2010

I'm finally free to share with you guys about my trip to Sabah!

11/6 - 14/6 , A very relaxing vacation to Pulau Sipadan.
It was a 4 days trip which we spent 2 days in Pulau and 2 days in Tawau.

Departing

It took an hour from Tawau's airport to reaches the port, and it took another hour to reach Pulau Mabul.
We have to stay in Pulau Mabul because we are not allowed to stay in Pulau Sipadan. Staying in Pulau Mabul isn't cheap too. It cost RM450 per person per day!

Let you see how clear the sea is..

We spent our first day in Pulau Mabul. We went snorkeling! The water is so SALTY! But it was fun. You can see fishes. No, is a 'school' of fish. Too bad I got no water proof camera, or else I can snap the scene! I was kinda afraid of snorkeling at first, but i was getting excited after some time and I snorkeled alone! There were some small fishes that bite us and made us felt so itchy. Overall, it was just so fun. A very great experience.

12/6 On the second day, we went Pulau Sipadan for snorkeling. It took us 45mins to reach there by ferry. Pulau Sipadan is so nice! The ferry stopped in the middle of the sea, and we 'jumped' into the sea with the life jacket on us. We snorkeled around. Lot of fishes and there are sea turtles! The guide caught the sea turtle but I don't get to touch it! The others got to touched it. Argh!

Pulau Sipadan

We went back to Pulau Mabul. There were few kids walked on the sea and ask for money. It was so funny that I accidentally dropped the clip into the sea and the kid helped me to pick it up. But in return, they ask me for money. Of course, I ignored them and I gave them 3 Ferrero Rocher. Auntie was so cute. She asked the kids to picked up the corals from the sea and she will give them money as reward. As the result, we got a lot of adorable corals and the kids happily got the money.

Pulau Mabul

We checked out at 2pm and went to Tawau city. It took us 3 hours! We found a hotel and get some rest. Went for dinner with Angeli Auntie's family. Then we went her house. Her dog, Coffee is so cute! I shall introduce Bobo to Coffee!

13/6 Angeli Auntie brought us to St Patrick Church. It was my first time to church. A very big and grand church, but the session we joined was in Hakka. So I don't really get what they are saying. I do enjoyed.
We went Angeli Auntie's house to get prepared for photo shooting. We wore formal, we wore the same POLO tees. It was a tiring day.

At night, I was brought over for foot massage. It was my first time. I demanded for foot-scratch but someone said I am crazy! haha. However, the foot massage was nice but it was quite pain when the girl massaged certain area.

14/6 Went Angeli Auntie's shop. Had our delicious lunch there.

And we went back that day.

FiFa World Cup?

It's Football Fever now! 4 years once.
Again, girls must be complaining that their loves one are neglecting them.
Here's the thing, guys like watching sports with others guys. It's nothing personal, they just do.

But if you as a girl, still insist on watching with them, follow these 10 ground rules and everything should be OK:

1. If you're allowed to watch with your boyfriend and his buddies, don't rub his head, don't kiss his neck, don't scratch his back, don't cuddle ... don't do any of that stuff. By the way, the only thing that makes guys more uncomfortable than public affection is fighting, so if you feel the need to re-enact the limo scene from "What's Love Got to Do With It," do it on your own time.

2. There isn't a single acceptable situation for the question "Is this game almost over yet?" Not one.

3. When your boyfriend's buddy calls to discuss a game in progress, don't shake your head and definitely don't mutter spine-crumbling comments like "God, I hate your voice when you're talking to your friends." Needless phone calls are a crucial part of the viewing experience. Leave them alone.

4. Don't complain about incessant remote-control flipping on Sunday. We know when to flip and we know where we're going. It's an innate gift. And we do it for a reason: We're trying to catch as much football as possible. Consider yourself lucky to be along for the ride.

5. Laugh at their jokes. Guys are easy. If someone's laughing with them, they like having them around.

6. Don't belittle our gambling or fantasy football. Comments like "You have a bookie?," or "I can't believe you guys pick players and pretend you're the coach," or, my personal favorite, "You guys need to get a life" are all guaranteed to make us hate you.

7. They're easily bribable, so bring something ... even if it's a bag of chips. If you cook something, even better.

8. Corollary: Whenever you get up, ask, "Can I get anyone anything?" Makes them feel like manly men. Plus, they don't have to get up.

9. Know your stuff. The moment you say something like, "Wait, I thought Drew Bledsoe was on the Patriots," you might as well pull a bag over your head. If you're clueless, keep it to rudimentary observations like "That was an unbelievable catch" or "This announcer is annoying." Never say, "Jon Gruden's so cute. He looks just like my old high school boyfriend!" Save that for the next "American Idol."

10. Along those same lines, an understated approach may just win their eternal respect.

So basically, although I don't understand why do guys love watching football, but still, I don't stop them from watching it. Never mind, once in a blue moon. =)
I will find some day to watch any of the match too! Grr.

But when we ask for your little help, you rather not replying our text!
Selfish! Annoying! Irritating!
